Mounting Instructions

1.  SELECT LOCATION, TAKE MOUNT BASE, MARK AND DRILL HOLES, INSTALL BASE

Take the round base, and with the smooth side facing upwards(grooves on the bottom), place where

you want to use your Mantis. Using the base's holes as a template, pencil the 3 hole locations onto

the mounting substrate. With a 3/16 inch diameter bit, drill holes in the marked positions. With a

Phillips screwdriver, install the round Base, using the 3 supplied screws. Be sure all screws are

securely tightened. If using Pro-Techt's optional back plate in conjunction with the Semi-Flush

mount, refer to the instructions that come with the back plate.

2. THREAD RING LOCK ON POST (Inside Lip facing down), TAKE POST/RING LOCK

AND ALIGN WITH BASE, SCREW POST INTO BASE, HAND TIGHTEN RING LOCK CLOCKWISE

If needed, thread the Ring Lock onto the Post (counter clockwise) with the inside lip of the Ring Lock

facing down. Then take the Post/Ring Lock and align with the threads on the inside of the Base and

screw (clockwise) the Post all the way into the Base. Then take the Ring Lock and firmly hand tighten

clockwise. To remove Post, turn Ring Lock counter-clockwise and unscrew post from Base.

3. INSTALL MANTIS

Now place the Mantis assembly onto the vertical post of the bracket, and lock in place. Refer to the

manual supplied with Mantis for detailed instructions.
